Letter to Mr. Jones

1621 June 12

Dear Mr. Jones

I am leaving on a journey across the ocean with one hundred and one of my crew members to find a new place to live in and for my religious freedom. I am traveling on a ship named the Mayflower. This will be the last letter I will send until I reach land.

Sincerely
Yu-Jin

Dear Mr. Jones

How are you sir! I have finally reached land after my exhausting journey across the ocean. Sadly on our long journey one of my crew member’s child died. My crews and I had to write our names on a document called the Mayflower Compact. This document was about rules that we have to follow on the new land. After we got there, my one hundred crew members and I were electrified when we saw the endless forests. However, we were sick because of the long voyage and also because we didn’t have any food left. Therefore, we went inside the forest in order to find food. It was imperative to find food before night, so we hurried.
On our way we meet the native Indians that were naked! We were disgusted by their behavior and action, until we saw a little baby Indian who was smiling. Now because of the sunny disposition of the baby we were smiling despite our hunger. The Indians took us to their camp and gave us food and shelter. They were very friendly and told us that we could stay at their camp for a day. That night we went back to our ship by the help of some Indians, and stored the supplies that the Indians gave. After that we followed the Indians back to their camp and slept in their tents.
Next morning, my crew members and I went back to our ships and decided to build shelter with the supplies the Indians gave us because we didn’t know when a turbulent weather could come. We finished making it quickly because the generous Indians helped us. We were becoming very good friends with the Indians.
Mr. Jones, I wish you could be here. This place is great; the Indians are very nice and peaceful and everybody’s doing fantastic work except few who worked slowly and inaccurately. The guile towards all the other members of my group including the Indians was despicable. So we decided to make them work twice as much for their punishment. Please come and visit our new land.

Sincerely
Yu-Jin

Dear Mr. Jones

Hello Mr. Jones. I have bad news to tell you. The weather here is getting very cold and my crews are dying! We are running out of food and the Indians don’t have the strength to help us anymore. We are in big trouble. Wish me luck sir.

Sincerely

An Up and Down

For the past 7days i had a hard time training for being a police. I had abrasions on my body. I grimaced every time i walked, i felt depressed. One day the head chief told me that I had to inspect someone in the village next morning. I slept really early today in order to wake up early. However, I woke up an hour late, i endeavored my self to wake up early but it just didn't work. I clad into my police uniform and brushed my teeth in a cursory manner. I was late on my mission, if the chief got there first i would be fired!! When i got there the chief was there but he was smiling. He told me that the mission was delayed. I was electrified to hear the news. But then the chief said that i had to go to a secret place to inspect the house and he told me that i couldn't take my car because it was "secret". He gave me an inventory of the thing i had to do. I was tired and i wanted to succumb.
On my way to the secret house i thought about quiting the job. Few minutes passed and i made a decision to quite the job after i completed this mission. My lips were dry from dehydration , so i stopped by a river and drank water. I felt much better. Suddenly, I saw a reflection of a house. It was big and old, as if nobody lived there. I was freaked out. I knocked gingerly on the front door. i simulated dead people coming out of the house. Then the the opened slowly and a nice guy came out and asked me what was wrong. I told him that i had to inspect his house.
Inside the house i could smell eggs roting somewhere in the house. He told me to go look at a crack under the ground. His heart beat was beating faster and faster and he did strange actions. When i saw the gruesome face of the old man under the crack, i was frozen and surprised because the smell wasn't coming from the roting eggs. I surmised the nice looking man of murdering the old man. I called my two team mates to come over and check it out. After my mates came over, we could corroborate that he killed the old man. After the incident, we derived great satisfaction from the applause following the murder catch. In the end i decided to keep my job as a police officer because my salary went up 100% after the mission was completed.
